I think your underestimating Ford's commitment to mainstream models, at the very least the 2.3 turbo will have more than 323hp, also it would not surprise me if Ford offered similar cheap performance...

Actually I bet the 2.3 turbo is going to make significantly more HP than 305, atleast 330hp and probaly 300lbs of torque minimum.

If true the I suspect the V6 is going up against Ford's 2.3 turbo. Unless the LGX is significantly more than 323hp, the camaro might be at a disadvantage compared to the mustang with mainstream...
