On 8/21/09 I drove my new 2010 Camaro SS / RS home from the dealer. It's been a great experience owning this wonderful car and being here on camaro5. I wonder how many others have owned their 5th generation 10 years or longer. Driving my Camaro home 10 years ago today. V V

I'd have to total them all up to make 10 years. :faint:

Drove #8675 home Memorial Day weekend 10 years ago. The 1st group of CGM cars.

I have a customer that has the twin to yours. He ordered it and had the dealer hold it till the day wife retired. She still gets teary eyed telling the story. Pretty cool

I had too wait a couple months too order my Summit White SS as it was
a delayed color. I didn't see another SW Camaro for 2 years when I lived
up in Connecticut. Now I'm in Florida and I have only seen one other like
mine down here in the past 2 years.

Congrats! I’ve only had my Summit White two and a half years - I can imagine how great it would have felt driving home the first year of a newly designed, iconic car like the Gen5 Camaro. I am sure people were thinking “wow what is that”?

It was a thrill that first year. It was like a one man car show.
But even today I get compliments on this car. I rarely take it out
when it's not pristine so the compliments continue, and few can
believe it's 10 years old. This area, South West Florida is full of
exotic expensive new cars, so it's even more impressive that the
compliments contine.

Even in May, 2011 the Camaro was rare in many places.
We made a circle to NY and back using mainly 2-lanes and everywhere we stopped (even in NYC) people were ooing and ahhing.
