I like your thinking. Nothing like growing old alone with only the possessions you have aquired to talk too.

Believe it or not it's easier to do when you're 19

Yeah, you got me there. I wouldn't be tied to anyone at 19 either. Even though my wife and I have been friends since the third grade we still tried on other people for size before we found our way back to each other 25 years ago.

Who says he will grow old alone? And frankly growing old alone sounds better to me than growing old shackled to a woman so controlling she would hand me ultimatums over a car.

Heavymetal454 07-17-2016 08:37 PM

I had a girlfriend once who told me to choose. I told her I had this car long before you came along and I'll have it long after you're gone. I was right. But you knew that already.

You have to ask yourself, if your gf doesn't appreciate your passions and what is important in your life other than her.................is she really the one you want to invest relationship time in. If a joke, nice. But if true, then I'm guessing your relationship is far enough along that SHE thinks she can make this demand. I can assure you my wife has never turned down a car purchase or a golf trip. But that's easy as she loves to golf and she's a car gal who happened to be the Corvette Marketing Manager for several many years and has taken a couple of track schools and driven too many Corvettes and Camaros to count.
