First 6th gen Camaro Z/28 Prototype Spied Track Testing in Milford
4 Attachment(s)
Now that the all-new ZL1 has been revealed, the new Z/28 is being prepped to pick up where the last one left off. That means it's destined to be a stripped-down track machine boasting incredible figures from a brawny engine.
Though still heavily camouflaged, the prototype previews a aggressive large upper front grille and a huge rear spoiler, which looks to be a high wing instead of a trunklid spoiler like the 5th gen Z/28. It still wears the 5th gen Z/28 wheels, which will of course be replaced with a new unique design. Attachment 783117 Attachment 783118 Attachment 783119 Attachment 783120 |
Nice! GM is pulling all the stops with there hipo models! That wing looks huge! Hopefully we see a new LT* engine?

GM is going for the slaughter.

That's a very interesting grille design and it looks like they actually made the upper grille much larger than on SS/ZL1 and even left the large lower grille. Something definitely going on for lower aero in the lip that appears to almost hug the ground.
Oh and that massive rear wing that almost has a double level look in that one rear pic -- though, that could just be how the camo is sitting on it. I mean, just look how much space there is between the taillights and the top of the wing.. |
Awesome, looking forward to seeing it.

Haha this is amazing. Could you imagine a surprise reveal at New York?
|
Looks like the hood has a center vent, ala the Gen 5 ZL1 hood and the refreshed SS hood.
This would also be a good basis for a re-entry into the CTSCC with a 6th Gen. |

Still a bit early, with that much padding, for a New York reveal. However..Los Angeles is in November, and that'd be a good reveal for there. |

Me thinks a new member to the LT family is coming soon :)

Awesome. Wasn't expecting this so soon. Can't wait to see how it turns out, hope it's naturally aspirated.

Maybe this car is the Z28 and it will be coming to New York auto show?
|
A new NA engine would be awesome. Have doubts though. This might just be a stripped no-nonsense ZL1 with no creature comforts and weight loss.
Either way, GM going for the kill. I love it. |
