2015 SS/last of the retro camaros?
So...Trying to look ahead, liking the chop top look Gen5 Camaro(hot rod).
I see a 2016 being closer to a Mustang & ATS Cadillac? Performance will probably be better to keep GM in the race with Ford. However, all of that is secondary to the "look" I like. On Monday my 2015 Camaro 2SS starts on the assembly line! Crystal Red, automatic trans, Black Appearance package, black interior with silver trim. And 1LE suspension installed by the dealer. Already in my garage are LGMotorsport ZL1 wheels with 275s & 305s, & custom black centercaps with silver bowtie emblems. Also a ZL1 front sway bar to replace the 1LE front bar due to the staggered tires. Will be a daily driver and autocross. |
I agree with you. I think the 2015 will be the final year for the true retro look. Chevy knocked it out of the park with the 5th gen and I can see no way that they can improve the retro styling. Look at the Mustang... Ford did the same thing. They have no choice but to modernize it.
Congrats on the new car! Sounds great. |
I thought it ended in 2013. The refresh kind of killed it for me.i do like the look of the 14&15 1LE though.

I wouldn't say 2015 is the last of the retro Camaros. I do think the 2010-13 are the most retro, 2014-15 a bit less retro, and gen 6 even less retro. At least judging by the teaser pics, it looks like the gen 6 Camaro is keeping more retro styling than the Mustang. I can't wait to see the real thing.
