POTENTIAL HAZARD - laces/shoe catch on interior piece near gas pedal

Please note that there's a potentially dangerous situation, and I assume it's common to all models. The plastic liner along the tranny tunnel, near the firewall, can come unsecured (it's a snap in piece) and it has a pointy sharp end which easily catches shoe laces and/or shoe (esp. mesh on running shoes).

Scarey stuff as I went to apply the brake and my shoe caught on it!

Here we go, another recall.

Just kidding, thanks for the heads up. :)

:confused0068: Oh No! :faint: Recall all Camaros?

That's why I like the old-fart walking shoes with the velcro straps. Coumfy!

Shoe lace get's caught on plastic trim, frantically move leg up and down to release, hit ignition key fob with knee. This shuts off the car, locking the steering and causing a loss of control. This car is a F***ing death trap:lol:

Just having some fun OP, thanks for the info.

GM's recall solution would be a sticker attached to the sun visor instructing you to remove your shoes before driving.

Switching the key off doesn't lock the steering ;)
