You know your old when...

You use words like "cool" and "awesome".....all these kids keep saying my car is
"sick" and I'm thinking, it is running just fine, why is it sick? I guess at 39 I am getting old.

"Cool" has been in my vocabulary for over 40 years. "Awesome"? I use it occasionally. "Sick"? Nahhhh... ain't gonna happen. You dig?

LoneStar 09-05-2012 10:09 PM

... you become slightly disappointed because someone used the wrong "you're"... ;)

The kids at work come running out to see my cars when I bring them lol. so I know all the words, kewl, Sick all of them lol

AZCamaroFan 09-05-2012 10:22 PM

i know , but sick has been around for like 10 years and it still sounds stupid to me

fielderLS3 09-05-2012 10:25 PM

"Sick" is usually the adjective I think of at the race track when I hear a car not running on all its cylinders. I've never understood the use of the word to mean "cool." And I'm only 26.

I just turned 39 and you know your getting old when you go to the ER and the ER doc is younger than you. One of my wifes baby docs when she was pregnant last was also younger than me lol.

You feel like younger family members are "inventorying your things" when they come over to visit.

I'll be 39 in two weeks. People think I am in my 20's...umm well. :)

Anyway, you know you are getting old when you are at a highschool football game and the parents of the football players were in 8th grade your senior year. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/images/icons/icon11.gif
