2016 ATS-V - Could this be the dimensions of the 6th Gen Camaro?
I just saw the spyshot pics posted on roadandtrack.com of new 2016 ATS-V. Is this the size/dimensions we should expect for the 6th Gen Camaro?

Also, isn't the wheelbase on the coupe 1" wider than the sedan? I think that is kind of interesting.
I'd like to think we'd see the Camaro sized in between the ATS and the CTS, as I don't see why the car would need to be CTS sized (it needs to get smaller if anything!) but then again can the Camaro, with its long hood body style fit on the ATS chassis? I don't know what to think.. Problem is I don't know if GM would go through the added expensive of creating another version of Alpha for Camaro would they?....so it could be one or the other. All I know is, the Camaro does NOT need to increase in size, and it NEEDs to lose a few hundred lbs if at all possible. Those who seem to be in the know say it is shrinking, so take that as you will. |
would have loved to see the twin turbo 6 in the new camaro

I find it interesting that that ATS has ZL1 style wheels...

Couple of reports, though conjecture at this point, are all saying TT V6 in the ATS-V.
Assuming this is true, and Camaro also goes on ATS wheelbase...no V8? |
pretty sure the new Camaro will get the LT1, at the very least.

There are rumors of an ATS-V+ getting a V8. |

I'm by no means an expert, but I assume - based on other threads here, there is no issue in putting an LT1 or LT4 on the ATS alpha. The ATS-V size is growing on me - i thought it would be too small as i have loved the CTS-V for years now, but it is looking pretty mean even with all the camo. |
Not a fan of the color :first:
