why all the hating Camaro and Mustang owners?

whats up with the outright hatred between Camaro and Mustang 5.0 owners? I have owned both and like different things about each one. I find it kinda funny to read some of the comments on the forums calling the mustang a crapstang and the Camaro a Crapmaro.. dont take it so personal if one car is faster on average than the other, there is always somebody faster.

It's just a pointless cold war. I like my Camaro an I also like the challenger and the mustang. Gives people something to do is my guess?

The only people that benefit from this is Ford and Chevy. Well, Dodge too.....LOL. I don't care if its a Dodge, Ford or Chevy. Ive had em all and most likely will have em all again.

I don't hate other car guys (except when they deserve it).:23:

Ultimately, each side needs the other. Without the Camaro, Ford may have kept using the 4.6L in the Mustang for an extra few years. And without the Mustang/Boss, GM may have never offered a 1LE or Z/28 option.

There has always been and always will be a rivalry between Camaro and the Mudstain. It's just like people cheering for their favorite football team on Sunday.

I've never been a fan of Ford in general..but in moving to California seriously there's a mustang in every other driveway. I think they're a little overrated now I guess. I see Camaros a lot too..but I mean look at them, they're sexy. in all seriousness though I feel like mustangs are the car I see most, everyone and their mom has one.

I'm not making fun. How old are you?

I ask because the Ford vs Chevy thing has been going on longer than 99% of the members here have been alive. It's not just "Camaros vs Mustangs"

The Camaro was built to compete with the Mustang market share in the 1960s. Before that, Ford and Chevy competed for racing wins...market share...showroom business...monthly sales...best popcorn at a dealership...shiniest shoes on a car salesman..fastest sabretooth tiger at the sabretooth tiger races...quickest evolving multi-celled life form...

I think its nonsense...Found On Road Dead! First On Race Day! Chevy's the Best F* the Rest! Garage Mechanic's Companion!

In the year 2013, I really feel it's mostly childish fanboys that want to associate themselves with the by-gone era of the 1970s car culture

Those are typical fanboy comments & who will also talk about how bad a car is but they probably have never driven one.

I like all 3 so I bought them (Challenger SRT8 included). All 3 are better than anything produced back 60s-70s. I lived it.

i respect all 3 big brands for different reasons. the mustang lets face it, set the bar. its the oldest pony car and the first of its kind. the camaro was created solely to compete with it and so was any dodge following after. all three brands have their strong points. IMO chevy makes the best push rod motors and always will. ford makes damn fast cars because they focus on keeping the cars lighter. and dodge makes some of the best looking cars not always the lightest but they are always good looking. i prefer the camaro for many reasons. but i do respect ford and dodge owners. i have a friend who has a 5.0 and its fast and is a beauty and i have a friend who has a new superbee srt8 charger also fast and a beauty. it all comes down to you as the consumer. all have there good and bads, pros and cons. but they all are one thing AMERICAN. and with that being said screw all the ricers!!! :bellyroll:

Very seldom is it a literall "hate". Just like I say I hate the sooners and root for the Oklahoma state cowboys! I don't really hate em but it's a old tradition and rivalry.

HeaterMan 09-08-2013 06:45 PM

well i may own a mustang now but i'm racking up points on my GM rewards card just in case the new camaro is all that and a bag of chips. :)

TheReaper 09-08-2013 09:17 PM

It's a great time to be a muscle car guy. Just look at the HP your money can buy.
Camaro, Mustang and Chally I love all three.
