I think they should treat it just like the Vette. . . keep the major looks the same but tweak them here and there. . . new hood, side skirts, grill, etc, etc. . .

A refinement of the current 5th gen. Kinda like the (dare I say) mustangs evolution over the last few years. Understand I don't want it to look like a mustang. I want it to develop over time getting better and better while still evoking it's own unique style. Oh and it better have a huge honkin V8. F the mpg!

I think they should make minor changes to the exterior, small upgrades, new grill, etc.. but a new interior would be nice not a full redesign, but i think they can definitely refine it and make it even better.

i think they need a updated version of the 4th gen....

I agree 100% here. Hopefully they won't make the same mistakes by going away from a great design.

How about making a 2011 55 Chevy??

I think GM will go away from the retro 1969 Camaro theme and give the car an original look. I think there will still be some styling cues from the 5th gen but overall it will have a new design. I don't think this is a bad thing either. Like others said above, I think the retro theme in cars today is a fad. I applaude the BIG 3 for going retro but you can't use the same style forever (VW New Beetle, PT Cruiser, etc. are good examples).
MY question is......what drivetrains will the 6th gens have? I have a feeling the 5th gen is the last time we'll see V8's in Camaros, even in the hi-po cars. I'd expect to see turbocharged V6's in the future. Am I right GM? ;)

They should start with better paint jobs. Anything and everything scratches or chips the paint. Then find a solution about the gill chipping that I hear is becoming a huge issue due to the wide hips. I have not had any issues with chipping yet and am getting my frontend, roof, and gills bra'd this weekend. The overall design is really nice though.

I'd like it if they could work some of the 3rd gen into it, it seems like its the generation that gets the least respect, and I love it, if they can somehow incorporate it into the 6th generation, it could give em back some respect that they should have anyways

It wont happen but I'd like to see them do the impossible...do almost a full off 1st gen looking Camaro with updates and safety of todays cars. Sure the 5th gen was a great attempt and brought a lot of people back but I'd like to see them do something Ford never did with their Mustang and do a car that matches the original almost blow for blow. Not going to happen I know but I can dream right?

My guess since dreams never come true (except for my SS in the garage) is that they'll go "futuristic muscle" with it like the new Mustangs. I'm not a fan of the idea of it but as long as GM stays mellow with the changes it should all fair well. I will be eagerly watching and waiting to see what GM does since the ball is in their court.

The interior can change totally, I am not bonkers with any of it.

Very well put.

I might consider something based on the early gen 2, but I wouldn't want anything to do with a gen 3 or 4 based Camaro.

I wouldn't mind a trend towards the second generation but the body styling right now is so amazing. Hopefully we stay away from the plastic body looking later gen versions.

I saw on on the lot this weekend. It looked like somebody dried it with sandpaper.:thumbdown: I mean even if the detail guy used a shitting towel
