$37,454

That is how much it cost for me to part with my Camaro. I have had it since 12/31/2015. My offer was $35k last week and less than $25k last October. I checked before my 5/50 ran out. I can't trust the A8 and I can't refuse the offer! I signed the paperwork today. I don't know what I am going to buy next, but I am in no hurry, I can wait this out.

Sorry to those who hate the "sale my Camaro" thread, but is also part of ownership. This is my 6th Camaro and probably not my last.

Few thousand of depreciation over 5.5 years. Can't complain about that especially on a sports car.

Yep it’s definitely a sellers market. Unloaded my ZL1 a few months ago for a fair price. I probably could have gotten more but sometimes, time is money. I have had at least 1 Camaro of every generation with the exception being the 2nd Gen. I lean towards owning another Camaro once out of Illinois. Congrats on the sale amount.

Private sale or to a dealer?
How many miles were on it?
Congrats - good luck with the next buy

Wow. 25k last Oct for a 2ss and auto???? Did it have a lot of miles? That is an very insulting offer if it was low miles, under 30k miles.

I bought my 2016 2ss late last Sept and inventory around here for Camaro used wasn't good then. I paid $31,200 for a 2ss, NPP, A8 and 16,000 miles. KBB was 35,500. I looked at my car speced out and MSRP was around $46,000 in 2016 with my options.

Good Luck.

I just can't do it, nothing else out there "floats my boat".

I used Vroom, they seemed to have the best prices. The car has 27k miles on it. Thinking about a new ZL1 Satin Steel Metallic when things get back to normal. I haven't seen the color in person, but looks damn good on the web!

Not bad at all, OP.

I had a 2019 LT Trail Boss with every option I paid $42K OTD for new, traded it before the pandemic for a 2017 SS and got my money back and the SS built exactly like I wanted.

Had I just waited 6 months, I could've made an easy $8-10K. It happens. The fact you got to enjoy this car for a few years and got almost all your $$ back is excellent.

You've got the right plan, brother. Waiting this inflationary period out, and choosing the right color too! :happy0180:

I have a feeling the market is not going to drop anytime soon and might not drop by as much as people think it will. I’m not looking to upgrade anytime soon but I believe with the rising cost of goods and the inflation that we are seeing, these used car prices are going to remain high for at least the foreseeable future, even once supply returns. Personally I’m hoping this isn’t the case because I’d like to get a Zl1 in a few years.
