In a pickle
I just got a call from my dealership and they want to either buy my car back or let me trade it in. They have a 2013 silver ss with 15000 miles on it but it's a manual and I personally hate shifting so that's a no go. The pickle part is a 2016 2ss auto with 500 miles on it. I'm very tempted but I prefer the 5th gen styling by far but good lord, the 6th gen is a beast. I told myself that the only way I'll go with a 6th gen, is a 10 speed auto zl1 but I doubt they'd be willing to make that trade. What would y'all do if you were in this pickle?

Make the 5th gen faster and louder. Especially if you prefer the 5th gen to the 6th.

why do they want to " buy it back" ?
|
My guess is to sell another car and make money

They love to make is seem like they NEED YOUR CAR. All they need is a sale. |
They claim that they have to many new and barely any used and tax return time is coming...not to mention the 5th gen looks alot better

yeah, they'll try to lowball you. They just want to sell you a car.

As other's have said, this is a dealer's ploy to lowball you on your vehicle and sell you another car, most likely, at a high price and/or to rope you into another loan.

Been there done that!! Not with Camaro's but with my truck. I have two yes two dealers here in the Houston area that want my 2013 Sierra Denali. Only problem is I haven't had it in two years. It's just a sales pitch to get you to come in and You take a LOSS and they pad the books with another sale. I'm just saying I've been there, unless by chance you get lucky, and a miracle happens. It's just a marketing ploy.
