Raise front seat for better visibility

2 Attachment(s)
The following steps show how one can raise the front passenger seat on a 2015 Camaro for better visibility.
1/ Unbolt the two star bolts that secure the seat sliding rails to the car frame with a T50 bit.
2/ Once the bolts are unscrewed, slightly slide the seat backward to unhook the rails from the car floor
3/ Use a flat screw driver to push the locking clip side way to unlock the electrical connector.

4/ Protect your door and door frame with blankets to prevent scratching the paint and lift the seat out of the car.
5/ Unbolt 6 bolts that secure the seat to the sliding rails
6/ Cut 4 pieces of 2"x2"x0.065" 3" length tubing and drill holes through them using a 5/16 drill bit as straight as possible
7/ Bolt the seat frame on to the sliding rails using grade 8 or better 3" length bolts and nuts with plastic locking insert
8/ Put the seat back in the reverse order as it was taken out of the car

I hit my head on the roof as it is and I’m not the tallest guy in the world, not sure how well this would really work with headroom.

raise da roof

Op thanks for posting this info I'm sure it will help someone who needs this, I noted you said passenger seat which might help make some significant others accept the car better. I'm sure there are a few who would like this for the driver side too.
With limited sunroof headroom I can't, but did notice the problem yesterday again as I lean way forward trying to park the car in the small garage without hitting that blindspot right front fender on the wall.

Lol, I have my seat all the way lowered; I can tell it’s time for a haircut when I can feel my hair brushing up against the headliner!

Amen to that, It’s hard to wear a hat because the brim is always bouncing off the roof as I move my head around. I’ve never had the visibility issues some people complain about though, if I did I’d probably trying to figure something else out.

I'm fine in the driver seat but my wife would love the passenger seat raised a few inches in my 2011, which does not have that adjustment for the passenger.

What's a passenger seat?

That is what my truck is for.

When yo girl is shorter than 5.4, you have to do anything to make her happy. Of course, when she's happy, you'll be happy too... trust me.

Not an issue on the driver side

I'm 5.3 and I can see fine on the driver seat. But the passenger seat is too low and the passenger seat can't be raised higher like the driver seat. This is why I have to do it cuz my wife said it's too low.

In some parts of the country, this statement is 100% correct.

Absolutely true here in Southern Mississippi.
