I can guarantee unless it is overlooked in quality it will not have a break pedal.....But it will come with a brake pedal.

The rest of what I know cant be discussed as I like my job within the industry :)

Actually, to go with the coffee cupholders, you'll be able to get a coffee break option...at your local dealer, available with each servicing. Along with rustproofing and Scotchgard.

Dealer may sell for less... Void where prohibited...

Approximately when will the 2016 be announced? Looking to get a 2014 ZL1 but I'd like to wait and see what the 2016 will be all about.

AZCamaroFan 05-24-2014 12:54 PM

they're probably going to show it next january. it's not going to look radically different than the current Camaro from all indications, and it's on the Cadillac Alpha platform. Most likely weight will be a couple hundred pounds lighter. The CTS and ATS handle great, so the next Camaro will too.

TommyTheCat 05-27-2014 01:23 PM

Will we be moving to camaro6.com ?!

KMPrenger 05-27-2014 02:03 PM

Motortrend posted an article confirming the 2015 model is the LAST of the 5th gens.

The way things are going for the new GM these days, I hope the gen6 has a push button ignition switch.

ender2664 06-08-2014 11:32 PM

I really hope it doesn't run into the same issues with weight the mustang is having!

What weight issues? That was only speculation. I'll wait until the official numbers are released until I decided if the Mustang is too heavy or not.

but will it be available soon after the car is available to us, or will take a year (well it seemed like a year) like it did with the ZL1

It will be available much faster then the ZL1 took, our goal is to have it to market before any other manufacturer.

The ZL1 had some design issues that we were not expecting, which obviously postponed things because we felt the need to make changes until we had what we felt was the best we could produce. Did we lose market share because of it taking longer, maybe we did. Are we going to release a CAI that we are not 100% confident is the best we can do just to say we have it done first, or in order to sell a few more units than the other guy, no. The fact is, most of the big companies do not come here on the forum and share info about new products until they are already developed and have a release date set. We try to be a little more casual with our customers and were sharing our development process with the Camaro5 community, in the future we'll probably keep development details on the hush until things are actually done, since it obviously upset some people when things dragged out longer then we originally anticipated. We were one of the first to market for the 2010-11 V6, 2010-2014 V8, 2012-2014 V6, and Supercharged applications for Magnuson, Whipple, and SLP. The ZL1 took longer then we thought it would to design, and for that we are sorry, overall though I'd say we are pretty darn good about getting things out quickly. We are a growing company and all we can do (like everyone else in this world) is learn from our past and try to do better in the future.
:)

Don't pay attention to the whiners and complainers about things being dragged on. I'm sure the majority of us appreciate you keeping us in the loop with development so that we AT LEAST know whats going on with the products

GuitarJozz 09-29-2014 01:02 PM

So there are really no other definite non-smartass facts other than it being built in the USA instead of Canada?

Sesiom Summers 10-01-2014 09:15 PM

Anybody have any idea when they are going to reveal this stupid thing? Im itching to replace my 2010SS. If I have to wait until late November to get the Gen6. Im gonna go buy a 2014 GT500 leftover!
In my opinion Ford made a big mistake revealing the Mustang to late and starting manufacturing to late in the year as well. Who is going to buy a new musclecar in November north of North Carolina? I put my car in for the winter on Halloween!

camaro2lt 02-08-2015 08:29 PM

Switchblade Silver Metallic will be a color! Its like Silver Ice.

Before you flame me, Saturday my dealer told me select dealerships will get a private link to view the 2016 Camaro on MAY 15, 2015.

Here is is the official schedule from the**************:

Do you think we may see some leaked pics and stats Friday night?

SuperSound 04-20-2015 03:10 PM

Can we get some updates to this thread Mods? I'd be happy to help. Lots of new people coming to the site now so would help if we could point them to this thread for something useful.

PoorMansCamaro 04-20-2015 03:24 PM

Are those times Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaskan, Hawaiian, or another time zone?

I would imagine the times are local for the city in wich the event is held... So eastern time

suplex 04-23-2015 06:06 PM

Here are some things I would like to see changed, none of them major changes, but little this and that's I would like to see (and some stuff I hope they keep)

  1. Paddle Shifters. Keep them, but make it like my Parents Cadillac SRX (where you move the shifter right and left to shift instead of buttons behind the steering wheel).
  2. Button to disable Traction Control and Stabilitrac. Keep it for sure, but maybe make it selectable where you can choose if the button turns them On...or Off. Some might want to start the car and have them disengaged, and then the button turns them on. Make it up to the driver.
  3. Indexing Windows (that open a little when you open the door and close up again when you close the door). If it can be done, get rid of them. I've only had a problem with mine when it's freezing out, but still, if it can be done...get rid of them.
  4. Mirrors on the side of the car. If it can be done in a very stylish way, make them the kind that can fold in.
  5. Trunk. Make the opening to the trunk bigger. It looks like it could be so big (on the 5th Gens) and then when you open it, there is this little tiny opening to the rather roomy trunk (considering what kind of car it is).
  6. Door Handles On The Inside. I have always felt that there isn't really a solid piece of the door handle to grab to shut the door when you're in it. I had a 4th Gen Camaro too and that car had a really hefty door handle you could wrap your whole hand around and close the door with.
  7. I'm sure everybody would love T-Tops.
Having said all of this, and being that as of today (04/23/2015) there is less than a month until the reveal, these obviously aren't things they can still do to the Camaro, just some hopes of mine.

I also have a slight feeling that any or all of the sneak peek pictures we've seen of the 6th Gen's have just been speculation and I really don't think we've seen "IT" yet.

HDRDTD 04-23-2015 06:55 PM

Leave the paddle shifters on the steering wheel so you don't have to take your hands off the wheel to shift.
My 08 Malibu had the paddle on the steering wheel, but on my 15 Malibu, they're a rocker switch on the shifter itself.

Sorry fellas we've been busy with some other things. If somebody wants to pitch in and draft up something I can add to the main post. I'm sure The Blur won't mind. I'll be sure to credit you in the additional information.

Understand completely. I'll try to work up something based on the teaser info already released and post here.
