Pricing

Haven't found anything on pricing.
Did they announce it yet??

Almost time for another car and trying to decide between the ZL1, Next Shelby GT500, or Maybe a lightly used GT-R.

Al O' said if you could afford the last gen one, you should be able to afford the new one. Most are guessing low to mid $60's. You may be waiting for a while for next gt500. GT-R's are beasts, but I've heard so are the maintenance costs. Just be sure you factor that in.

for a ballpark, you can piece the price together minus the frame and body from the parts available on the GM site. With retail mark up, I would expect that if you order, the starting price will be just below 60k, but that doesn't include AC, or infotainment which would bring it over 60k.

I hope what happened with the C7 doesn't repeat itself...they said the same thing about the C6 to C7 transition. The C7 started out really close to the C6, but jumped nearly $5,000 in MSRP within the first 18 months.

Should be around $62k to $65k. We should hear something in the next month or two for sure on pricing.

As Al O. has already stated, if you could afford the 5th gen ZL1, you'll be able to afford the 6th gen.

With that being said, the current 5th gen ZL1 coupe starts at about $56k. I expect the 6th gen to start at $60-62k figuring normal price increases.

I'd bet that with various options, you could get to $70k for a fully loaded coupe.

If you start out with a 1LT 2016 Camaro at around $32k, you can load that up to $50k.

Geeze, my 2013 2LT RS fully loaded was 36.3 out the door. I'm assuming you are including performance parts in that?

I can assure you many Mustang and Gen5 owner that have no intention of buying a gen6 ZL1 with piece together the most expensive combination possible and scream fail. Options not even available on the referenced car.

I've run a 2SS up to 55-56K with options available from the site configurator -- and not including anything from GMPP catalogs.

I believe starting price would be $59,995. Go all the way up to 70k with sunroof, auto, etc...

2011shelby 04-12-2016 08:59 AM

Mid 60K would be awesome. for a decent optioned one.
Not a big fan of sunroof on a car, but Recaros would be a must.

Recaros are standard.

I think he's saying that when the pricing comes out, some folks will go and check every single box on the option list, say, 20K worth of available options and scream that it's way too expensive.

I think we've seen this before.
