Fuse pull & Check Engine light

Did the fuse pull about week ago, and I just wound up having the check engine light come. OnStar ran a diagnostic on the car, and the lady told me the exhaust emissions system isn't functioning properly and I can have the maintenance done at my leisure. I'm not positive the fuse pull caused this, but I'm suspecting it is. I did just fill up the car last night and have driven about 100 miles on the the tank. So it's possible it could be bad gas. Has anyone else had the fuse pull cause the check engine light to come on? Just wondering, before I go put the fuse back in.

My fuse has been out for 3500 miles, with rotofab CAI, no tune and no light. I doubt its the fuse that caused it.

Depends on the code thrown. I also want to know which fuse did you pull? The F8 fuse in the trunk for the exhaust?

Sorry, guys. Yeah, it was the F8 exhaust fuse I pulled. I should've mentioned that.

Since OnStar said it wasn't a big deal, I'll run this gas out and see if the light goes off. Won't take too long to do that. lol If it doesn't go off, I'll stick the fuse back in and see if that solves it. After a week of that nice sound with the flaps open, it would suck to have to go back to stock. I would definitely have to go the route of the Mild 2 Wild controller.

I pulled mine at the first of May or so and no issues

Gas cap back on correctly after filling up?

Yeah, it was. I even double checked it when I noticed the light was on.

Pulled the F8 fuse months ago, and have had no issues.

Noticed this morning that the check engine light is off now. Must've just been some bad gas. I didn't even run the whole tank out. My guess is that it had some bad gas in it, and then the better gas that got mixed in got rid of the problem.

Or a failing O2 sensor?

I guess that's a possibility also. I'll be keeping an eye on it, to see if the light comes on again. If so, I'll stick the fuse back in and take it to the dealer, so they can check everything out.

I wouldn't think the fuse pull would do that, the fuse I believe is only to open the second valve for the exhaust.

Right. I understand that. I just figured putting the fuse back in would ensure that everything was just as stock, so if there was an issue, there would be no question as to what it was.

I understand that, I do believe the valve runs off vacumm. Maybe a slight chance it affected the vacumm causing the light?
