would a 6 gen announcement really hurt?

Would an official announcement from gm stating when the 6th gen will be revealed really hurt? I mean a simple date ? Gm could build to it, like the current 5 -15.

Well I don't see that it could hurt... after all, GM usually gives advance notice before the actual date of a new model being unveiled/revealed. We've all known for awhile now that the 2016 Malibu will officially be unveiled in New York on April 1.
