After seeing the spy shots posted today, I immediately realized I had seen the wheels somewhere before.

Car in the background on the right of the screen looks like it has the same wheels as the spy pics to me:

That rendering in the back looks more Corvette than anything. You can't see crap through the camo anyways.

Turns out those are the wheels on the Z51s.

Which is kind of interesting in its own right that the style is being seen on what appears to be the next Camaro, I suppose.

Those are not Z51 wheels on the spy car, look closer the spokes are different.

I think he may have been referring to the rendering seen behind Mr. Welburn.

The wheels on the spy shot look similar to the current optional ZL1 wheels, only with the center of the spokes hollowed out.

Yes he was, but he didn't say they were similar to those wheels, he was implying they were those wheels.
