i really would not mind having a v-6 TT,i hardly use all the power mine has now,i never take it to the track,i just like having the power in case i need to use it,i would love to be able to afford a ls9 supercharger for mine but i would have a huge increase in insurance premiums do to tickets then could not afford the car,i currently have 414 rwhp.and 412 trq.,i have been debating on throwing a cam.in it,only hold back is i will have too much $$ in it and it not be considered into trade value should i elect to trade her in for the ZL1.

It just doesn't seem kosher. But.... I who am I to judge?

I imagine it will look AWESOME regardless of smaller chassis etc., However, IT WILL NOT DELAY ME FROM GETTING A ZL1. I need the elbow room and if I am correct, the ZL1 will have TONS of refinement built in. The 5th GEN kinks have been worked out by GM and aftermarket, so I suspect we are getting a wonderful vehicle with ZL1. My only reservation, will be WHAT COLORs will be available! The auto tranny cinched it for me!

One more thing...it just seems that as you go to the smaller shorter wheelbase, you addmore potential to become a rattletrap ... affected by road bumps, etc. The current "HEAVY" Camaro is fine with me!

"ZL1 HEAVY preparing for takeoff" ... Runway 1 Left!

Here's the Cadillac ATS spec sheet from GMInsideNews.com for an insight of what may be in store for the 6th Gen Camaro...

(Caveat: Pure Speculation!!!)

The second generation muscle car era will end as quickly as the first one did. Supercharging or turbo charging a V-6 is not all that bad. My tweeked NASCAR 3.8 Supercharged Pontiac runs pretty good for a 3400# car. GM needs to lose the weight on their new cars. Period.

Remember that Lee is not longer heading the design group.. The new Camaro will have an entirely different look. Perhaps they will use cues from the current Chevy dual grill. Obviously GM has to keep the Camaro fresh to keep sales up. I for one will not be parting with my 5th Gen unless they dazzle the shit out of me....There have been some crazy years and versions of the Camaro over the years and the changes have usually been wholesale so expect something really different in many ways.

Not from us. And definitely speculation.

I just can't help but to wonder if Gen 5 owners will like Gen 6 better. I have this weird feeling that most of us won't.

Keep the v8. That will always be a true muscle car.
