Odd question...

I had a very brief ride in our 1LE, there were a few times the car seemed to be wrestling with the road, as if you really should keep both hands on the wheel.

This was hit and miss, here then gone, maybe a few hundred feet of roadway then back to normal. Any 1LE or ZL1 owners come across this?

Tramlining on negative camber, perhaps?

I found that if the road wasn’t basically flat and I was hauling ass with the trac control ON my zl1 would do this. Turned everything off and never had an issue at 740/775 to the tire.

Ok guys, I should add that I was in snow/ice mode traveling around 35 mph.

Why were you in snow and ice mode?

Had just left the dealer on my way to the Expel installer and it was 28 degrees outside, snowing but not sticking with just wet roads. Still the ass end was kicking out with very little throttle input.

The tires really weren't made for those conditions and I assumed this would be the most intrusive mode.

I have this issue sometimes. Now that the tires are "old", my car seems to wander sometimes. This especially happens if tires are under inflated a couple of pounds.

I've been told that this is just part of having very wide tires...

IDK

My regular ZL1 does this bad on rutted roads.

Ok, I looked up Tramlining aka: Nibbling.
Tires essentially follow the natural worn out trough in the road.
Certainly plausible, again not a big deal, just caught me off guard. :confused0068:

I also called my brother-in-law, he has a Zo6, he said he comes across this quite often. Oh well...:noidea:

It has only really bothered me a few times, on those occasions it felt like the electronic power steering was fighting me. It really is road surface dependent.

I had it occasionally with the GYs. Very rare with MPSSs.

Not in my experience with MPSSs.
