Best sales since 2019

"The only consolation to GM’s lackluster fanfare is that a lot of people now have one of the greats residing in their garages." From the article.
Yes, and it feels great too! |

Hopefully the average enthusiast takes a decade or 2 to notice! I'd appreciate the convenience of "getting bored" of my SS 1LE so that I can sell it and whatever else I have at the time to scoop up a Hot Wheels edition SS for a daily and ZLE for the weekend while they're still reasonably priced :bonk: |
At my age of 75 I grew up in the muscle car sixties. I have owned many cars and by far this is the best car I have ever owned. I will keep this one till the end and enjoy the power, sound and thrill of owning it.

Same here these are something else they’ve come a long way over the years. I don’t think younger people fully understand what you’re getting for this money compared to the past.

I’m 28, and I financed mine. I know exactly what I got :smoking::happy0180::RockinVert5thGen:
P.s. If we were to be super technical, compared to the past, you are correct, that I don’t have the amount of perspective others do of this! |
Of course it had better sales since 2019. We have had parts shortages, chip shortages and a pandemic which hampered production from 2020 until 2023.
2023 is the first model year for basically every manufacturer where sales went higher since 2020 and its because of the above. 2019 sales were still higher then 2023 sales and having higher sales then 2020, 2021 or 2022 isn't really a victory due to the aforementioned problems all manufacturers were dealing with in those years. The Camaro is a great car, we all know it. But I don't think the reason it sold better in 2023 compared to 2020-2022 is because it was announced it would be killed off again. |

I bought my '23 for fear of missing out, totally honest. I knew the car wasn't going to be produced anymore and I waited until the very end to buy myself a new one. Tally one for a sale that probably wouldn't have happened if production was business as usual.
|
They would have sold a good number more if 2024 was not only the last year but had a full model year run. People who decide they want one before they're gone and to fill customer orders. I feel for those who had orders in that never got picked up on 2024 run because you only had a short time of allocations, you didn't have a normal full model year run of your order potentially being picked up. GM couldn't have done a worse job on 2024 run.

The end of the line is why I bought mine. Poor thing is hibernating in my heated garage over salt season but it is not like i wanted to wait and see what was available cone spring.
|
I probably wouldn’t have bought a 24 if it wasn’t the last year.
|
FOMO for me as well. If this wasn't the last year, I would have waited at least another 6 months. I wanted to get one but pulled the trigger since I knew I wouldn't be able to get a new one ever again.
GM easily could have sold more if they had a full production cycle. |
I sold my Fifty, wish I hadn't. I'll get another one one day hopefully. Maybe later this year. We'll see.
