The rear looks good but the front I think needs to be more aggressive. No offense meant by that, if I tried to render something I'd make it look like crap compared to this haha. Kinda like the new mustang though, it seems more luxury or exotic up front than muscle. Just my opinion

FenwickHockey65 01-15-2014 01:23 PM

Riviera Concept?

It's pretty nice. Door handle placement is weird though.

oklapike 01-15-2014 01:44 PM

I'd tend to agree. I like it, and I think something based off of it could have a place in the lineup, just not as a Camaro.

mr02Z/28 01-15-2014 06:09 PM

I like it, keep the imagination going .......

Not bad. Looks like you liked the headlights and grill from my concept from last year:

Headlights came from the TF4 bumblebee concept...and I like them!

Overall the car looks nice! I think the front needs work though...but mostly just in the middle grille area. Something looks off about it.

Also, I very strongly feel like a muscle car needs a muscle hood...so please add a bit of a power cowl to the middle of the hood, similar to the current Camaro, but also keeping your existing hood lines which look very good.

Good stuff.

OperativeXIV 01-15-2014 08:05 PM

I like it, though it looks like it would make a good 2-seat competitor for the the likes of the a Nissan 370z... any other angles? :)

The_Blur 01-15-2014 08:52 PM

This is interesting.

Oh! I just got it. I mentioned earlier that this rendering looks like something that could fit in the Chevy lineup and I just figured out where...a sub-Camaro (shortened Alpha 101~103" wheelbase) FR-S/BRZ fighter.

77rs 01-15-2014 10:03 PM

Looks cool!

z928 01-17-2014 05:30 AM

Nice.

CamaroRyan 01-17-2014 07:28 AM

I love the effort. With that said it doesnt scream camaro. It looks more like an "exotic" car. Doesn't really give me that "muscle car" feel.

SUKXOST 01-17-2014 07:43 AM

I like it but needs to be more different. Well done, wish I had that software and ability!

Why does everyone think the Gen6 will be based off of the 1st gen? To my knowledge......no one at GM has even officially said there will BE a 6th gen yet...or that it will be based on the 1st gen again.

First generation: 1967–1969 (3 years)
Second generation: 1970–1981(12 years)
Third generation: 1982–1992(11 years)
Fourth generation: 1993–2002(10 years)
7 year gap
Fifth generation: 2010-2014(4 years so far)

With sequestration and still recovering from the recession and every car manufacturer limiting platforms and vehicle types to save $...... does everyone really think GM is going to have a completely new redesigned gen 6 Camaro ready in 16' based on the 1st gen?

Personally, I think its the safe bet for GM to do but there are many other options that would garner new fans and interest. I HATE the 2nd gen but I could easily see that happening as well..... I'd LOVE to see a modern 3rd gen as the 6th gen :P

GM has confirmed there's going to be a 6th gen by saying the next generation Camaro is being built in Lansing, MI, but it was left open ended as to when that would be. Fortunately for us fans, the Canadian Autoworkers then promptly proclaimed they would need something to fill the void in Oshawa by late 2015 - maybe it's not 2+2, but it seems a safe assumption that if Oshawa is going to need something to replace the Camaro line by late 2015, then that'd mean by late 2015 the Camaro is moved to Lansing, IE the next generation Camaro would be a 2016 model year.

Based on the 1st gen? Anybody's guess, my personal opinion - no.

That said -- while the MODEL YEARS for the 5th gen are only 2010-2014, you have to keep in mind that the DESIGN has been around since January 2006. It's an old design.

I personally hope it's revolutionary like the Corvette was. Recognizable as a Camaro with cues to the heritage, but unique and not a modern interpretation of any of the previous generations.

Thanks for the input. COMPLETELY agree with above bolded!

1985airborne 01-17-2014 12:33 PM

Great concept but I would like to see it with the front fenders widened to match the rear...besides that I would buy it!

Awesome........ Where do I put my order in?

The orange one 01-17-2014 04:17 PM

I think it looks great.
Just the headlights look out of place imo.

68vert 01-17-2014 05:02 PM

The current Camaro was a great hit for GM, so I don't think we will see a totally radical new shape in gen 6. I think the greatest hint lies in the current design transition from Corvette gen 6 to gen 7. More edgy, sharp lines and aggressive shapes for exterior, with a well thought out (cup holder re-do?) and refined (boring dash/gauges) interior with better materials and a tight finish are what I thing for Camaro6.
I plan on looking for a Gen6 SS-1LE. I have been driving my car since 2009, I am ready for something newer.

LiquidDragon 01-17-2014 06:49 PM

Love it. I would trade my 5th gen in in a heartbeat for that. very nice lines and i love the fronts of both as well at the look of the windshield flowing up to the roof. both are very well executed in my opinion. love the doors and back side windows on the grey one better and the front end of the blue one. :happy0180:

What camera lens did you take the photo with? I've noticed a dramatic difference in the way dimensions look depending on if I use a 35mm, 55mm, or a 105mm lens in the software to take snapshot renders.

Based on that one angle view you've posted, assuming you have 20" rims it looks like the window height is maybe 12" at best. Do you have any other renders from different angles?

This would be the original image.

Nice ! but don't scream Camaro ! Reminds Me of the Mitsubishi Eclipse.

This one could be the Z-28 and the 1st one could be the SS with 1LE package! The third would be the SS.:grouphug:

RajunCajun 01-19-2014 12:20 PM

Entry price set at $26,500.00!

RajunCajun 01-19-2014 12:26 PM

Bruno , can you use the lights from post #41 on the post 40 body ?
The same with the flares

Regio_42 01-25-2014 09:44 AM

I like your renderings and i would buy that camaro, but the concept is good in the end they have to make the car big enough to fit air bags and a big engine. Then after all the safety features it would look better. If we look at the renderings of what the camaro was going to be like in 2008-2009 its not far from what the drawings showed.

Great job :thumb:

Gen-X45 01-25-2014 11:25 AM

It takes a lot of talent to create the lines you've drawn here... I'd order one in a New York Minute, and I live on the West Coast... Great job!

Twas just googling for 2016 Camaros and I stumbled across this; http://woodwheatongmblog.com/2016-camaro/ Which lead to this - http://gmauthority.com/blog/2014/01/...#ixzz2r4u45dZR
