H/C cars making peak power around 6,700?
I am looking for dyno graphs of H/C cars pulling to 7K and making peak power around 6,700 or above. I am trying to run down an issue. But most of the graphs I have seen have peak power around 6,300-6,500 and then falling off or hitting a dip and going flat. I would really like to see one of these 7,500rpm screamers I hear people talking about.

It would also depend on the cam I am planning on spinning mine to 7500rpms on a pretty aggressive cam

Well you really don't have the capability with the GM cylinder head casting to get the airflow needed to spin the engine all that high. Sure, you can cam it to the moon and get it there but you won't see it building good power. If you can't get a head into the 360 c.f. range you won't like the power curve of a NA unit above 7250. These are two different cams in 5th gear. The top is my STG 2 on a healthy motor. The bottom is the STG three cam but my motor is not healthy. It will be soon though.

Looking for some real world results at the wheels.

This is a pretty small cam with ported Stock top end. It flattens out up top but doesn't fall off.

The max power on my little cam is 536 @ 6115. It does drop off around 6400.

Wish I could say mine did. I peak at 6K and it hangs there to about 6,700.
I could probably use a better Cam. :) Missing out on 50hp |
I am going to give it one more shot with a different cam in my car.
