SECRET Performance Shift Mode
 

If you have a 6th gen SS with an automatic, there's a performance shift mode that comes stock with the car that you can activate to give you way better throttle response, different and better shifts, and some aggressive automatic downshifts. It's pretty awesome and not a lot of people know about it. Check out the video below!

If you're allergic to the owners manual, lots of things become secret/hidden features to be discovered.

Way more exciting than reading the manual.

Not even close to a secret and well known since last year.

Secret for anyone who has never floored their car is S or Tr mode lol. Car sounds good though!

Yep. Even the dealer told me about this when I did a test drive. Definitely not secret.

I was hoping you found a way to manually activate it.

On the right steering wheel control... press: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, mute, talk, SEL.

uhhhhhh all you do is accelerate in sports mode and performance shift activates, if you have had the car for more than 2 weeks you should know this exists.

I will say this though, the first time it happened, i didn't see the pop up on the screen, I thought i ****ed up the transmission.

This is what I was hoping for too. It would be nice for those magic times where one gets transported to Mexico

you can manually activate it...just blip the throttle to the floor real quick. Tranny will drop into race ready rpm. I'm only saying this because everybody is saying "flooring it"... but nothing about a quick "blip".

Anyways, I'm sure most know this too.
