Playing music in 2011 2ss
Hi friends :)
I have a 2011 2ss and I never had an issue playing music from my phone. I have the bluetooth connected but for some reason it's for phone calls and not music, so I would play my music through the usb. I got a new iphone, from 11 to 13 and ever since then I cannot play music. The wire charges but no music playing. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this? |

For some reason, these cars treat the phone as two devices. You have to connect it as a music device separately from connecting it as a phone. See instructions:

On my 2010 2SS/RS, Boston Acoustics with a Samsung S20, the phone for calls connects automatically. For streaming music via Bluetooth, I have to go to connections under settings on my phone. Choose Bluetooth, then GM Music Connect. This is, of course, after everything was originally paired. Possibly IPhone may be similiar. Not sure why GM did it. Other radios and makes of vehicles, both automatically connect.

I have a 2010 SS. I down loaded my music from discs to the computer and then down loaded the songs on a memory stick. I just plug the stick into the USB port and I have music.

Yes mine works great with both iphone 10 and 11, but you must pair the phone , you cant just play off of bluetooth!
