Copying CTS-V Shifter ?

I just recently attended the 2010 Saint Louis Auto Show. Well I sat in a CTS-V equipped with an automatic transmission (which is faster than it's manual conterpart btw lol) and the interior is stunning.

I was wanting to know if there was some way to "mock" the CTS-V shifter to create a similar one in an SS. The leather at the base of the shifter instead of our plastic track basically. And, of course, an SS in place of the V. :iono: :help:

A leather shifter boot would be nice. I'm surprised no one has come up with an upgrade kit yet. The stock auto shifter does seem to be a weak area for looks.

+1

Let's go aftermarket. Let's get something going.

Didn't DVScustoms do one to a member's car?

I wonder if you can use the Manual's boot - which looks just like that. Not sure if it's long enough to fit since the Manual is wide but not long...

philthy 02-01-2010 03:55 PM

Actually, I think a full boot that did away with the outer plate that has the "prndm" on it would be better (the DIC displays what gear you are in, so it is redundant.)

But either way, I would purchase one.
