Looks like a 5th gen with a different nose! Kinda like GM changed the Camaro front and back ends from 1997 to 1998

Cody2399 03-04-2013 11:19 PM

That actually looks pretty nice... Don't like the grill so much, but what the hell

Hayden 03-04-2013 11:20 PM

Not a fan.

mikester0612 03-04-2013 11:23 PM

Chevy emblem is wayyyyy to big !!!!

Bhobbs 03-04-2013 11:29 PM

That's the Code 130r Concept, not a Camaro concept.

Sorry but that thing is hideous.

xRedsox 03-04-2013 11:42 PM

I'm gonna miss those HIDs

2Muchmark 03-05-2013 12:04 AM

Looks more like a small SUV. Not impressed.

OrangeVert 03-05-2013 12:33 AM

I have to agree with 06_warrior. Car looks like it's ready to eat something. Will stick with my 2011, older model will also save on reg fees. :sorry:

hale95 03-05-2013 01:22 AM

no thanks I'll keep my 2010, problems and all. At least it don't look like a cross between a BMW and Volvo. Where is the Camaro at? Not a fan of the Gen 6

Forte 03-05-2013 02:18 AM

Obviously not Camaro, but I actually like it

That's not the 6th gen. It's a concept of what GM will build as their version of the FRS/BRZ.

hale95 03-05-2013 03:02 AM

Car and driver mag, states that is the new 2016 camaro. Seen the magazine today. The top picture is straight out of the magazine. I don't know about the picture with the gal in it.

05SilverStreak 03-05-2013 04:06 AM

Looks like a watered down Audi A5 with a chevy emblem on it.

ActNup NY 03-05-2013 04:49 AM

Hated it - lol !! (In living colors voice)

PhoenixZL1 03-05-2013 05:20 AM

It's just a photoshopped pic that they're using. Chevy is in the process of getting rid of that 2008-2012 split grille design like that car in the photo has.

Apex Motorsports 03-05-2013 06:02 AM

That is not an official image or information. Just typical car magazine speculation and rendering. Don't get too excited.

FINALLYSATISFIED 03-05-2013 07:36 AM

Another mis-titled thread claiming its the 6th Gen when it's not.

FenwickHockey65 03-05-2013 07:47 AM

Car and Driver is full of it. It's a Photoshopped Code130R.

plus1zero 03-05-2013 08:42 AM

Dat Malibu nose

No it is not.

This. These mags always post concept shots or photoshops which they know is not the real thing, and then ends up fooling the un-informed like the person above. Wish they'd state "NOT THE REAL THING" with these types of articles.

Actually, I've always thought the code130R, while having potential, looked a little fat or something. This photoshopped rendering of it makes it look much better b/c of the more Camaro like dimensions and shape like the shoulders in the rear. I don't even think the front looks horrible, although if I had my choice I'd rather see something different. (fingers crossed that "something different" doesn't end up being worse than this lol)

I do like that they expect to see 3 engine choices, although we can likely take that with a grain of salt as well.

Mike@HennesseyPerformance 03-05-2013 12:06 PM

I hope it looks like my 70. That would be awesome.

Dirtdog 03-05-2013 12:16 PM

Why do people think that any magazine, would have "Spyshots" or "Leaked" photos of a new Camaro, before C5 had them? We have REAL GM employees on these boards who love giving us the hottest intel. If you dont see it here, ITS NOT REAL!!!!

Actually it isn't... just pure speculation from C&D... as titled, it's based off of their misleading article specifically the pic. Get it got it good?

 ...elongated/pshopped...

It seems odd that GM (or Ford for that matter) would build a Pony car for Europe with high car taxes and $9/gal gas. Sure the quality and performance should be on par with European cars. Pony cars make sense in the US and other places with similar running cost structures.

A lighter car that does not sacrifice room, crash worthiness, or style would be great. I could also see a scenario where the current car lives on with the LT1 and styling tweaks while a Code130r based car is tried out in the market.

Holy Opinion piece, batman!!!

I don't care for magazines spouting opinion off as unchallenged fact...specifically:

What is is: ...draw inspiration from the euro-styled 2nd generation

Um....who invited them to the design studios? Oh right - no one. :der:

tramtwo 03-05-2013 02:45 PM

...maybe they can make the front bowtie BIGGER!! :twitch:

Jameg1011 03-05-2013 03:08 PM

That thing is god ugly

sspddmn 03-05-2013 04:13 PM

Photoshopped for sure. Front end of a 130r with a body of a camaro/audi s5. GM definitely hope you do not make that the 6th gen :barf::barf::barf:

hale95 03-05-2013 07:19 PM

So if they offer the 4 cylinder with turbo.....would that make the camaro a ricer?????
