I like the Gen 2, but I think GM designers can do a much better jop than the OP pictures.
Imitating the Gen 2 body style would help them package a smaller AND LIGHTER car. |

I doubt this is going to happen since the retro movement is supposedly on its way out. Just like how the 5th gen was a response to the Mustang's success, the 6th gen will be a response to whatever path Ford takes with the 2015 'Stang.
I'm gonna miss the retro movement if it really does fade away, lol. I'd much rather own a classic car than a new one because they looked so much better to me. Maybe this is a calling that I should finally go and, well, get a classic! |

The LS3 is on its way out and will be replaced by the LT1. Please GM, do not make it look like that. |

I like it, i really do...Would buy one in a Heart Beat...

....I personally would not buy any stock in that theory. Look at the C7 'Vette, and the rebirth of the Stingray name for example. I am not sure anyone could argue there are any styling clues in association with the name, it is much farther a design forward, rather than anything backward incorporating any retro design. Retro is passe.

The '70-style ROCKS!
But not a fan of the 'rendition'...hopefully, the artist was having a bad-day  |
I think it looks pretty sharp. As for any tweeking, would be interesting.
