The difference is this site is about the current car and it speculated about the current car. From what you're saying here, I would say it's time to fire up Camaro6.com then.

Last rumor had it out in 14. Was going to wait until then to upgade to an SS but if it is 16 I guess the SS will be coming alot sooner.

I def. think the Camaro should be alot lighter and a little more horse and improve the interior a little. Maybe a better steering wheel, less plastic. That or make everything inside carbon fiber? Only thing I like better about the Srt8 or the 5.0 is I think its a little nicer inside.

In reading one of the Camaro books, which details the Gen 1-4 pretty well and has a lot of nice photos, there are elements from all previous generations in the current one.

I'd like to see the next one take more cues from the 70-73 body style, at least with the front end that I really like more than the 1st gen's.

Translate some of these curves into some nice hard body lines to reflect or to improve upon the new Corvette design, and you would still have the 5th gen looking awesome, but the 6th gen also looking awesome as well.

Now this is one sweet looking ride,i believe i would have to trade for this one, either my current camaro or the wife's escalade,(but dont tell her,ha)

this one does'nt look bad either, but kinda like a bently in the front,?

v6sonoma 12-23-2011 03:20 PM

I predict it will look similar to the current one but smaller. Narrower grill, taillights, etc. sleeker but it won't be a major change. The interior is probably the biggest area for differences. I predict a completely different look.

Honestly I don't want a redesign of the current car. As far as I want to see is at least a 400lb reduction in weight and maybe even a shorter wheelbase.

Other wise it will be another Dodge Charger fiasco, where they change the look every year and still looks like crap.

Just imagine the 1969 model year going to 1970, hope we wont be disappointed. The 5th gen will be hard to beat!

LAWMAN 12-23-2011 03:39 PM

i love 10.foot.570rk's rendering but i feel like g.m. will figure it would be a little before it's time for a camaro to resemble a previous vette that looks this good, they have got to do what it takes to keep the enthusiasm and buyer's coming, but i LOVE the vette/camaro look,i would have to trade for it,

JusticePete 12-23-2011 03:40 PM

How soon can I order this?

Are you referring to the newer Chargers? They last model was around for a while and the new one looks good IMO. They didnt change it every year. More like every 5 years.

hey did anyone else know that when the camaro first came out,G.M. was pondering what to call it,......a couple possible name's were "panther" or "wildcat"...and i believe the article said that the word "camaro" in spanish means "slow".......but we all know better than that,

djgrind45 12-23-2011 05:07 PM

Id like to see T-Tops on the 2016, i would be satisfied with that change.

This is supposedly the next Corvette. Can't remember the website name, but they released that image and "claim" they have inside sources which say this is what GM is looking to do with the C7 Vette.

Punk_rider 12-23-2011 06:20 PM

I predict this: camaro is selling good in US and won't sell a lot in Europe. GM people will want to sell more in Europe so, will make a much more Japanese/European design.

consequently, they'll take current design, put a little bit of nissan and a little bit of BMW M5 in it ... then, European will keep on finding it ugly and a weak copy of european cars, americans won't recognize it as an american car, and it's gonna be ... a fail.

ps: wow, that supposed next Corvette i just saw is going the way i've described ... something between a Vette and a sporty Aston Martin with a little bit of "Fast&Furious Tokyo drift" look ... plain ugly ...

njmike 12-23-2011 06:23 PM

Just in time for me too pay this one off then my wife wont be so mad about me buying another car

Looks like I'll need to start making C7 Vette suspensions

I know most here have been against this SS70 concept, but let me be the first to say that baby could sit in my garage any time!! I freaking love it :happyanim:

Guess I"m in the minority on the front end of the 70-72 models. Just looks like a mean muscle car to me :headbang:

FL1CK 12-23-2011 06:29 PM

Hopefully it comes before the next Rapture, I don't wanna miss this one like I missed the last one!
