2018 ZL1 Battery Protection Package?
 

I'm pricing out a 2018 ZL1 and I'm wondering what exactly is the Battery Protection Package option? The description says "Keep your battery in peak condition with this 110-volt battery charger." Is it anything more than a stand-alone charger?

I looked at that too,

Yeah, that's what I am thinking. I already have a charger so it doesn't make sense to order it unless it does something special.

I have the GM one, it is a battery charger with alligator clips. I bought a Battery Tender at Costco so I could hardwire it to my battery and plug it in with the pigtail connector. Save your money and buy a retail one. If you plan to let your ZL1 sit for more than a month at a time, you will need to keep it on a charger of some kind.

I bought one after the purchase of the car...completely aware it was twice the price of a non-Camaro branded model...but hey...it looks cool! :bellyroll:

its actually a better unit and is made by ctek. I actually bought a better version of the Ctek than the one that says camaro on it for mine

Main thing is make sure whatever you get has AGM mode. I believe most of them today do.

ITS LIKE THE WHEEL LOCK OPTION FOR $110....WHEN YOU CAN BUY A SET OF WHEEL LOCKS FOR HALF THAT ANYWHERE ELSE. I USE THE BATTERY TENDER BRANDJR'S FOR LIKE $45

I take it the ZL1 has a AGM battery?

Yes, I believe the SS does as well. In fact, maybe all trims levels.
