Interior Dash Vent Replacement
1 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know the part number of the top dash piece that runs from the defroster vent to the passenger side of the car? Also, does anyone know if this is a simple piece to replace?
This is not my picture but it shows the piece I'm talking about. My piece has a cut it in from the factory and the dealer refused to warranty it so I'm stuck trying to fix the issue on my own. |
Maybe try another Chevy dealer? Seems like cosmetic issues should be covered.

pretty sure cosmetic issues from factory should be warrantied. Make a ^%$#ing scene

Been there done that, they absolutely refused since it was done on "delivery". my original dealer screwed me saying I didn't tell them and even though I had proof Chevrolet "Customer Service" wouldn't help either.

It is called the defroster panel. Retials around $78.00 http://www.gmpartsdirect.co/oem-part...bC12OC1nYXM%3D |

Also wonder why the part is discounted, wonder if they changed the part number or something. |

I would keep it, but it would likley just sit unused for years. $60 plus shipping seem fair? I can inspect it closer when I get home, but it should be a clean piece. |
Might it be sitting there because you found a way to get rid of the hideous binnacles over the gauges. They went to all the trouble to drop the hood and increase the front view only to have those binnacle hoops take the visibility back away. Those hoops kill me.
Just thought I'd ask. Thanks! |
