6th Gen Camaro Soon?

I know the 2010 camaro is a brand new generation but I'm curious to know when they might have a new one. I've seen other makes and models where the car does so good, it only takes a few years for a new model to be made.

Anyone?

I think 2015 is the guess as of now.

Yeah, that's the general census at this point, seeing as how any other generation for the ponies has lasted roughly 10 years.

yea probably 2014 or 15.

I doubt 2015 will be an entirely new generation. Most likely just a face lift and a new power plant.

According to a report from Motortrend with sources from GM, they are planning on redesigning the Camaro in 2014 (for the 2015 Camaro) to make it smaller and lighter. Based on the Alpha platform, as opposed to this generation's Zeta platform.

We'll see, but if it looks anything like the current design, I would be very interested in this.

Here's the article.

I see no need for change soon, these Camaro's are the best ever made, I would like to see a good run like the 3rd gen's 82 -92 had.

Sadly in the era of CAFE..that wont happen.

I wont be shocked, sad..but not shocked, if the V8's are no longer an option and we're left with supercharged or turbocharged V6's as engine options in the SS.

These new regulations that are coming down the pike are serious folks, very serious. They're pretty freaking strict and if V8's are an "option" they'll carry a massive, massive tax (like $4000+) to help GM pay for "fines" from the government for daring to produce a V8 engine.

hmm... where is that crystal ball image when you need it.

Competition will be the main cause for change on this :D

I would hate for the camaro to be smaller, light is ok but smaller is bad, i want it to be big and mean!
