i actually found a picture of the REAL new Camaro

The Vega was way ahead of it's time - The Chevette saved the idea and confused me at first but it filled the niche.

If we want to keep Camaros around for a long time they need a new Gen to come along at least every 6 or 7 years. Look at the Mustang this version has been around for 9 years now, but they have had 3 refreshes in that time, some more than others. They will have a complete new car soon, and Chevy needs to keep up this time so they don't fall behind again.

Check it out the Mustang "may" go diesel

It would make sense, seeing as Ford is aimed to make the Mustang a BMW 4 Series (Coupe Version of the new 3 Series) Competitor.

Everything so far seems to be pointing to a smaller car. That includes the Mustang and Challenger. Hopefully the design team pulls it off and impresses us all. Although I would always expect those type of cars to look big.

...evolution, not revolution will be the change. We received revolution with the rebirth of the Camaro in 2010, retro as it was with the competition. They followed suit, but made it big in overall excellence. You are correct about the past, Chevy lost touch with vision..., became complacent, and sales plummeted. And then the unthinkable happened, the F body died as a results of lack of focus and diligence to the product. Major fail there. GM/Chevy was redeemed with the Gen 5, and now they must repeat that feat with the Gen 6 car. If it is anything like the C7 Vette, then we are golden.

For Europe, of course. They also ONLY get a 4cyl Eco Boost at this point.

That "European" styling that you guys are bashing is one of the reasons Cadillac is still in business.

If you mean that the Cadillac's unique styling as compared to the cookie-cutter bland ugly european cars has somehow made the cadillac brand a standout, then I can't agree more.

How you can believe that this is a real Camaro. The new design has not been final yet and the company is working on the design. Wait for new models.

Did you read the thread before posting? It's been stated quite a few times that it's NOT a Camaro...

Not the Camaro. As FBodfather said if anyone posts a picture and says that's the new Camaro they are wrong.

In that photo the concept looks a lot like a BMW1 series from front wheel wells back.

If GM sports cars continues to go the route of European styling, this company is in big trouble. Case in point with the ugly(IMO) C7 Corvette, that looks like a Ferrari 548 from the front, and a 5th Gen Camaro on steroids, from the back.

GM designers get it together, stop trending with everyone else, and be yourself for goodness sake.

I think you are going to eat your words. There are way too many people enthused about the new C7 for it to be "in trouble".
