Official Nay Sayers Apology Thread

I'll be the first to say I dissed the car calling it a Toyota Camaro and I apologize.
I like it much better today than yesterday.

 sorry.

I said over and over that I wanted something amazing for the interior..... looks great... my big butt will be the test

Beardface 05-16-2015 03:05 PM

Didn't like it yesterday, and... yeah, still not feeling it.

Might change my mind if I see one in person, but from an aesthetics perspective, the Gen 5 is a better vehicle, in my opinion.

mpate16 05-16-2015 03:25 PM

I was completely mistaken. It's beautiful

DenverTaco07 05-16-2015 03:35 PM

beauty is in the eye for sure...but I don't give a flying fck if anyone doesn't like it...GM isn't going to care either...this thing is going to sell very well.

Yesterday, I felt the pics were horrible and didn't want to make a judgement. Today, looking at official pics, and specs...OMG...this thing is freakin bad a$$.

These pics are tremendously better than the CNBC pics.

Car looks great but rear end is Camry looking. Interior is the big thing. Not buying one until I see it in real and the 1LE / ZL1 version.

and...it's going on ATS wheelbase....

all lies.

I'll eat crow on the no T4, i didn't think so, but i like it.

BigBlock427 05-16-2015 03:45 PM

everything stayed the same for me. I like the front. the rear is a no go for me. the side and the three quarter view I feel lost allot of muscle and went more streamline like the C7...which is what they were going for and they did it successfully. I just like the stance of the 5th gen more.

The interior is awesome though i love the C7 inspired gauge cluster. the lighting on the trim and the overall cockpit feel is great. home run on that. we knew it would be good after seeing the new C7 interior but they hit it out of the park.

I would like to hear a concrete number on the final weight of a fully loaded SS. I would also like some performance times to trickle out (0-60, Track times, Skid pad, and 1/4)

Again, I am not giving up my ZL1 for the SS. I do have more hope that by the time the Z whatever car comes out... the styling will be super aggressive and fix some of the issues i have with it looking sorta bland everywhere other than the front and interior.

overall, if you didnt come from a 5th gen background... your getting a hell of a introduction into the camaro world. If you currently own a SS and you want to upgrade your going to get one. If you think it's nothing compared to your current 5th gen... well then hey you're happy too that you car will last you through another generation. All in all we should all be happy for one reason or another.

Great looking Camaro!

Love everything except the hood vents and placement of the SS badge on the lower front grille.:thumb:

It looks better than the 5th gen..wow that interior! Good job GM!

smggugfaw 05-16-2015 03:56 PM

This is a really nice car. I have no problem saying it's generally going to be regarded as a 'nicer' car than the 5th gen.

However, it's not enough to make me feel like I need to trade up.
