Just paid off my 2010 SS2.. now what?

25K miles... already has a CAI, removed exhaust / straight pipe, and throttle controller.

Help a newbie out...

I want to buy new wheels/tires... no idea on size? I like the ZL1 look... So, what size and where do I buy them?

Factory 2010 Camaro SS tires and wheels

Front 245/45-20 = 28.7" tall, 8.0 wheel
Rear 275/40-20 = 28.7" tall, 9.0 wheel

Recommended 20" tires for 2010 Camaro
245/45-20 = 28.7" tall, 8.0-8.5 wheel
255/45-20 = 29.0" tall, 8.0-8.5 wheel
265/40-20 = 28.4" tall, 8.5-9.0 wheel
275/40-20 = 28.7" tall, 9.0-9.5 wheel
285/40-20 = 28.9" tall, 9.0-10.0 wheel
295/35-20 = 28.1" tall, 9.5-10.5 wheel
305/35-20 = 28.4" tall, 10.0-10.5 wheel
315/35-20 = 28.7" tall, 10.5-11.0 wheel

Should I keep them staggered or go to 4 same size?

I found these on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/20-inch-Fits-C...ords=zl1+wheel

Looking at headers.. If I put on headers and later decide to supercharge it will they still work?

What type of gas mileage will my SS get if I install a supercharger? LOL.... this is my daily driver after all...

I am getting the front end repainted.. had a drilled in plate bracket and it had some scuffs as well... should I do anything to the grill?

You help me pay mine off, of course

I got mine thru factory reproductions. The default is staggered I believe and I think it's the best looking. Black gorilla lugs, but actual zl1s have chrome lugs. Are you familiar with River City Creations in San Antonio? Oh, Lupe can give you so many ideas for your grill...

May get more feedback on tires/wheels in the subforum for that.. Really comes down to what you plan to do with it and if it only be a DD. That will help others make recommendations. All conditions warrant diff setups..

Headers you will benefit all around from stock to supercharged.. The one thing to be sure if going supercharged is cam selection.. Don't want to put a NA cam in then decide FI.. diff setups.

Grill is a personal choice.. personally I don't mind factory.. not sure I'm a fan of retro or other styles.. guess its where you want to spend your $ and what appeals to you..

Awesome having it paid off!

Put the payment in the bank and start to build wealth. Enjoy your Camaro as is and drive with a smile on your face that it's one less debit you owe and you are saving money.

^^^ exactly what he said. since that money is part of your budget just keep it in your budget and put it into savings. in a few short years think about how much you can save. a nice down payment for a new car, cash for a rainy day.

paying it off is a great feeling but i always laugh at posts like these because people think they need to spend it instead of saving now days.

That's my goal, actually i'm probably going to sell the Camaro to get out from under the payment (I bought it used a couple years ago). I haven't saved a dime in my life and I need to start. almost 500/month can go a long ways when it isn't going into a car that I don't need.

I plan to buy a old E36 or E46 BMW for cash or maybe a Cooper S or Miata. I autocross and do HPDEs and either of those is upteen times cheaper when it comes to consumables. Not to mention if I put it into the wall 5k hurts a lot less than 25k.

Save? What the hell for!!? lol jk. I say supercharge it. It's like getting a brand new car.

This!!! My Camaro was paid off in February and my Buick will be paid off by December of this year. It will feel good to go into 2016 with no long term debt.

I can put that money into my plans for world domination. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!:bellyroll:

Put your previous monthly payment into a Roth IRA.

Set aside a good chunk to savings.

Drive the 2010, put the would be payments into a savings account till the 2017 ZL1 comes out, trade in the 2010 and use the money towards the ZL1. Then enjoy your 6th gen supercharged LT4 for a greatly reduced price!!
