Will the C6 automatics, V6 and V8, get the adjustable dual exhausts?
Will the new C6 automatics, the V6 and V8, get the adjustable dual exhausts option? I know with v8 C5 you could not order it because of the active fuel management. Now that both the v6 and v8 have AMF.... Hopefully us auto people will get the kick ass exhaust system option.

Yes, all V6 and V8.

That's excellent news.... With the C5 v8 auto.... They would say you could order the dual exhausts.. Then a day later they would call you and tell you about the AMF systems and how the dual exhausts system was not compatible.... Please change your car order... I still bought two of them.... But was envious of the M6 for that reason.

Man I hope so.
The LT1 in the Corvette gets dual mode for both transmissions, so I'm going to assume the Camaro will too....and so based on that I hope the V6 will as well! |
|
KMP... I am right there with you on the dual exhausts option....i love my C5 L99 but if you didn't tune out the AMF you were stuck with the trash can exhausts hanging out to hide the AFM noise.

Hopefully, a GM NVH engineer that has dealt with this already can update us!

I do understand.. But this website is called Camaro6.com. So your going to have to get used to the C6 abreavation being used.

OK guys....according to the dealer's play book in this thread (http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=409099) it states in the 1st post on page 12:
"available dual-mode exhaust (automatic and manual V6 and V8 models only)" So I take that as a yes for all V6 and V8 models, and not the T4. |
I've noticed several folks referring to the different Camaros as "C5" and "C6"... this is new nomenclature to me. I assume it is meant to distinguish between Gen5 and Gen6 Camaro. Please, let's not add another made-up acronym. Thanks.
Edit: should have read the entire thread - I see others have also mentioned this... and thank you for that. At the very least, please refer to them a G5 or G6. |
KMP for the win! Good work! I hope that's is good data!
