Man. Brings back memories. Believe it or not, at that time this style of presentation and soundtrack was considered modern. Now it looks and sounds so cheesy. I loved the segments that showed the 'modern computers' with reels of tape and punch cards. I'm sure that none of those people would have ever dreamed of the tools designers today get to work with.

Today's heavy metal or hip hop soundtracks and camera techniques are going to look and sound just as cringe-worthy in a few decades. I'm just hoping tomorrow's generations still have individual cars to drive.

Thanks for posting this!

AZCamaroFan 09-09-2019 09:21 AM

also it sold 220,000 a year.

still... i saw a Chevrolet labor day commercial last week, all types of chevy's, but no Camaro. literally would cost them nothing to include it, but no.

Did they include the Corvette?

AZCamaroFan 09-09-2019 10:00 AM

no but they never include the corvette in those kinds of ads. they do with the camaro, just now and then , which is why it's strange when they don't.

It says the body was designed in a Jet aircraft Wind Tunnel. I didn't know were using WT for cars then. Cool...I guess.

Probably not, Corvettes are already sold out for 2020 is my understanding. Plus previously the Corvette was expected to sell limited #s because its more of a niche market.

These are the best pics I have seen yet of the corvette. The pics are undistorted unlike a lot of the pics you see using a wide angle lens.
