does it really matter how many cylinders it is, if its gonna give a decent output? or are some people still stuck in a "stick rub fast, fire burn" caveman mindset about technology?
as someone just pointed out, fords new ecoboost engine is 4 cylinders and putting out roughly what their current v6's are doing. if chevy follows suit, then whats the problem? |

Why don't folks go and take a look at the New 4cyl Turbo motors Porsche is churning out for their Cayman and Boxster ....... If you think 4cylinders are silly and embarassing see the power they will be putting out ... I certainly wouldn't mind a 6th Gen Camaro in a Lighter package with that kind of HP ....

CLA45 AMG Mercedes. 2.0L twin scroll turbo. Makes 355hp. 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. I think that's 1LE or ZL1 territory. :D

If Chev makes a 4 cyl turbo Camaro that's faster than my 2LT I'll be seriously pissed.
WTF. |

Well, the current Turbo 4 that GM has, surely has more TQ (295tq vs. 276tq,3.6) over the 3.6L LFX motor we currently use ... It might be faster with better push power ... who knows but I would really be interested in seeing a 4 banger in the 6th Gen ...

I might buy a 4 cyl turbo, I have plenty of V-8 cars but never had a odd-ball Camaro, it might be interesting and fun to drive a 4banger turbo Camaro ...
I would also like to see better and more gearing options for the 6th Gen, including an Optional Posi rear for the Auto crowd ... |
