Same here, I lived in Omaha and my car was in Kansas City. They went down to KC that day for me to pick it up and drive it back. It ended up with 250 miles on it, but it was still perfection when I took it home. If it was on their lot 3-30 would be all that I would have accepted.

Less than 25 miles your average car shows up with 5-10 miles on it plus the PDI miles usually 5 miles then figure a test drive or two 1-2 miles.

If it is a dealer trade figure the mileage from dealer to dealer. Depending on the type of car you can demand it get flat bedded over to you ie. Camaro SS and up, or Corvette or SS could be towed your Cruze/Malibu/Impala, not so much.

My car was Special Order (all the BS that came with getting a 1LE) it had only 11 miles if I remember correctly... The sales man told the Tech no test drive for the PDI.

I have bought new cars with between 5 and 400 miles on them, the warranty does start at whatever miles are on the car when you take delivery. I was told that any new car if it has over 600 miles has to be sold as a demo model.
As long as the car looks new, smells new and runs like new I usually don't look too much at the mileage at delivery, but I do know if you find one with over 100 miles you can get a much better deal on it. Because it usually means it's been in inventory a while and they need to get rid of it.
Don't stress too much over it, you are hopefully going to have it a long time.

I bought a 1981 Cutlass Supreme Brougham T-top :happyanim: with around 1200 miles. It had been driven by MN Twins Manager Johnny Goryl before he was let go. My warranty started at the mileage I picked it up.

I bought mine used with 110 miles on it I put 20 of those on during the test drive. GM had licensed the car and toured it around to places on a truck but that was it. I was looking for a used 2012 & wound up with a hardly driven 2013 for just about the same cost as a new 2LT...:happyanim:

Highest has been 90 miles. 98 ZX2 and it was one of the best cars I have ever owned.

Bought mine with 14 miles after test drive. I would assume anything under 50 would be acceptable unless it was brought over by a different dealership. Now if it has over 50 miles and came from that dealership i would be worried about alot of test drives.

Mine had 4 miles on it win I got it

2LS14 04-13-2014 03:53 PM

100% incorrect

Read your paperwork from the dealer. I had 200 some (dealer trade). My warranty shows on the paperwork it is good to 36,200 some odd miles
