I happen to like the wing. I hope the Z06 goes back to the light weight, track focused versions before the C7.

There is no way it can achieve the lower weights of the C5 & C6 Z06. Not without using exotic materials like magnesium and lots of carbon fiber.

One of the reasons the C5 Z06 was so light was that it used components that barely held up and in some cases didn't hold up. I had 4 of them and all 4 of them required upgraded rotors because the stock ones would warp. Same with tranny and clutch components. It was light, but made cheaply.

It can be done, but not at the price point GM will price the Z06 at. Porsche manages to do it with the GT3, but that is $160K base and decently optioned closer to $200K.

I never said make the C8 weigh the same as the C5. I said return to the same design philosophy of those cars.

I think it’ll grow on me the more I see it. I’m really curious to see what they implement for active aero on those models. It would be pretty cool to have the wing flip up as an air brake

Well there it is. High revving FPC. Benchmarking Ferrari 458 and a Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

That sounds pretty damn good.

Kinda sounds like a 458 but a bit deeper

I agree. My guess would be from the increased displacement. I can't wait to see the specs.

It's definitely on my radar to replace the SS 1LE in a few years.

I am 2 years into the SS 1LE and 3 years should be just about perfect for it to come out, get the kinks worked out, and for the hype to die down a little and get it below MSRP.

My only concern is the Corvette is not known for its QC as the 6th Gen Camaro is. Fingers crossed

My backup plan is a used Porsche GT4
