True vinyl playback can be difficult to set up, but once it is set up its pretty simple. I prefer Moving Coil cartridges and use a stereo
preamp (Yamaha C-70) from the era when vinyl was king,no CD input.
There are many record labels now pressing vinyl again since there has been a resurgence in the demand for it, lot of new stuff and reissues available now.
Your right the selections are limited.
Many phono preamps are now available along with a slew of turntables, but if your interested in checking into vinyl again see this site I also have many more if you decide to get into vinyl again http://store.acousticsounds.com/.
but again vinyl is not for everyone.

I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival! It should be here within the next two weeks. God, it is a beautiful looking vehicle. I'm still debating on ponying up the dough for ground effects. You're timing was impeccable on getting yours! How is the sound system? I'm debating on adding some bass.
